When Libra Fine Arts was born, the deal was that Skip would draw the art and Katherine would do everything else. Working with charcoal and graphite lets Skip explore a spectrum of light and shadow, where the rawness of the materials brings out a depth and dynamism in every stroke, turning even the simplest sketch into a vivid narrative.
During lockdown Skip started drawing to manage his own stresses and mental health when the airline world was collapsing and Skip and I were living in months of uncertainty he started drawing to pass the time. His designs were so beautiful they were too good to keep on a shelf in our house!
When Skip has an emotional connection to a drawing, animal or place he loves to draw and express that emotion in his designs.

Skip's favourite collection is of his car and aircraft drawings. As a lover of technical drawing at school it allows his to block out the world stresses and really focus on the bolts and rivets of a plane!
We are lucky to live in the semi rural Windsor area so just looking outside we are lucky to see such a variety of wildlife on our doorstep!
