As a busy working mum of two young boys, I first started jewellery making in my quest for a creative outlet…something that was just for me. From my first silversmithing lesson, jewellery swiftly became all I could think about and after a few years designing pieces for friends and family, Verve Jewellery was born! After attending my first Makers Market in 2019 and receiving such lovely feedback on my designs, I realised that there was a gap in the market for simple, modern and minimalist, handmade sterling silver jewellery and I’ve never looked back since.
Much of my inspiration comes from the simple, abstract beauty found in the natural world and I am particularly drawn to the sea and sky. Many of my designs were inspired by my time by the sea; the sun shining on the water, the ever changing tides and the beautiful shapes of the waves and I try to incorporate these ideas into my pieces. I also love the simplicity of structured geometric shapes, especially those found in nature.
My pieces speak to women with a certain sense of style; simple, elegant and minimalist. I believe that jewellery should complement and not crowd your own unique style and I would love the wearer to feel that my pieces enhance their own natural and unique beauty.
