Ashbourne Shrovetide 2024 took place on Shrove Tuesday (13th February) and Ash Wednesday (14th February) at 2pm.
This annual two day event sees the Up’ards and Down’ards compete against each other in a unique and intense ball game., Thousands of people visit the town over the two days to watch the two teams compete against each other. The game has been played for hundreds of years and is said to date back to as far as 1667.
This A4 sized print features the ball moving it’s way through the town centre along St John’s Street.
Drawn by local artist, Lucy Sheeran – this print is a great way to remember this years game.
Each wall art print is printed on 250gsm matte white card using chromalife ink so it doesn’t fade over time.
