SEE US ON BBC'S MONEY FOR NOTHING

money-for-nothing

Back in September 2020, we were filmed as part of the latest series of BBC’s Money for Nothing!

If you aren’t familiar with the program, it is presented by entrepreneur and artisan, Sarah Moore. She partners with small, creative businesses from all over the UK. With their help, she creates beautiful, one off pieces from items that would of ended up in landfill. They are transformed into valuable pieces, making money for people who had no idea there was cash to be made from their trash! The pieces are then sold to independent shops, restaurants and businesses as well as private buyers.

As part of the show, I purchased two items – a Candle Sconce and Hanging Candelabra. Both pieces were worked on by Sarah Moore using vintage plant hanging baskets. They have now been totally transformed and beautifully decorated with brass.

Sadly due to Covid restrictions, I wasn’t able to meet Sarah Moore in person but hopefully if we buy more pieces from the program in the future I will be to!

I love the two pieces we brought of hers – they are a modern, unique twist on something that is usually very traditional! I think they’d look great in a garden – add solar powered tealights or candles for the last, little touch!

The episode we are featured in was aired on Thursday 22nd April at 3:45pm. If you missed the show, it will be available to watch on BBC iplayer for 30 days after.

BBC iPlayer – Money for Nothing – Series 10: Episode 4

Both pieces are now for sale at £45 each (excluding shipping). If you are interested in purchasing one of the pieces, please contact us on [email protected]
