Ay Up Me Duck Oak Keyring
Ay up me duck! This commonly used phrase is well known (and used) across the East Midlands.
If you're not familiar with the phrase, 'ay up' is a greeting which is said instead of hello. 'Me' means my and 'duck' is a friendly term for another person. This local saying has been used for centuries, it's believed to date all the way back to Saxon times.
